FULL-GRAIN VEGETABLE-TANNED

This is an old world technique where the hides are soaked in a solution of water and tannins derived from plant sources. The process can take several weeks and involves multiple stages of soaking, stacking, and drying. This method results in leather that is relatively stiff and firm initially but softens and develops a rich patina over time with use and exposure to natural elements.
